Peace Tracts are short messages of peace in cartoon form describing what is often a true story that promotes understanding in conflict areas around the world.
Peace Tracts are a very effective and non-controversial way to promote peace all over the world where it counts most, on the ground. Peace must be made between peoples before an effective peace can be achieved by politicians.
The idea for World Peace Tracts was envisioned by our founder Joe Holiday while watching American helicopters drop war propaganda leaflets during the first Iraq war as a method of psyops, it was seen by Joe Holiday as an opportunity to beat swords into plowshares by using the same war method for peace.
Are Peace Tracts Effective?
We all recognize that the military does not waste its resources on ineffective means. Here it is demonstrated that short messages or “Tracts” have been used by the militaries of the world before WWI and currently. Conflicts bear one thing in common besides death and destruction, and that is psyops or psychological operations. This is commonly done by dropping leaflets and most often precedes the dropping of bombs.
Here are two examples from WWII and the war in Afghanistan.
War Leaflets Afghan war
We can determine with certainty that short message leaflets are very effective and useful in having a population respond positively to the message or it would not be utilized in virtually every conflict and war by the USA and other militaries of the world.
